Notification Center: Change banner’s display time
By default all banners from the Notification Center stays 5 seconds on your screen. You can adjust how long Notification Center banners are shown before they disappear. To do this use the following command in OS X Terminal:
Give OS X a flatter look inspired by iOS 7
The default theme in OS X still has, despite the change in iOS 7, lots of shades and gradient effects incorporated in the theme. This can be disabled by using a terminal command and give the finder window and a few other programs a flatter look. The resulting appearance is flatter and whiter window that’s showing brighter colors and less shadowing. Add the following command in Terminal:
Get a Transparent Dock in OS X Mavericks
In OS X 10.9 Mavericks Apple didn’t hardly changed the Dock, yet you can adjust the design slightly using a terminal command. It’s possible to give the dock a transparent look. Add the following command in Terminal:
Display full posix path in OS X Finder title Bar
When browsing into the Finder folders, you may lose your current path. You can enable the path view (like View ▸ Show Pathbar) in the title bar of the Finder window. The command show the complete posix path in the title bar.
Enable the Safari debug menu
Safari has a hidden Debug-menu that offers some options for debugging the browser. The debug menu is different from the Developer menu. You can perform load and stress tests en additional logging features.
