In iTunes 6 and earlier, the iTunes navigation-bar contained a Library playlist that listed all the audio and video in your iTunes library. iTunes 7 removed this, and segmented the library into various libraries (e.g Music, Movies, TV Shows).

Disable the Dock animations
Disable all Dock animations when opening an application from the Dock. Use the following OS X Terminal command:
iTunes: Enable half star ratings
iTunes allows users to rate songs from 1 to 5 stars. For more precise ratings, enable the half-star rating option in iTunes. Very useful when a song is not quite worth 4 stars but not 5 stars either. Close iTunes and use the following defaults write command:
Enable the Recent Items Menu in the Dock
You can add a ‘Recent Items menu’ to the OS X Dock. The default is set to “Recent Applications” but once the Dock item exists you can adjust it to feature other recent items too. Use the following defaults write command.
Display full posix path in OS X Finder title Bar
When browsing into the Finder folders, you may lose your current path. You can enable the path view (like View ▸ Show Pathbar) in the title bar of the Finder window. The command show the complete posix path in the title bar.
OS X Mail: Display e-mails in plain text format
If you have problems with HTML emails received in OS X Mail, you can force the Mail app to display e-mails in plain text using the following defaults write command.
Disable CD/DVD media burning in OS X Finder
You can prevent users from burning CD/DVD media on your Mac. Enabling this command will result in the following message when trying to burn a CD or DVD: “The operation can’t be completed because you don’t have the necessary permission”.
